I Need Therapy is a counselling and psychotherapy practice consisting of two Lead Therapists who trained together, Emma Radway-Bright and Sharon Roberts.
Our shared experiences led us to setting up our practice together. We cover a full range of everyday issues, as well as in depth problems that people encounter in their lives. We work with trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem, loneliness, family issues, stress and much more. Increasingly, we also work with the effects of ADHD, neurodiversity and attachment disorder.
You can also see us if you don’t feel there’s a particular issue but just want to talk and explore.
The list of issues we work with is by no means prescriptive. Generally, if life is getting you down in any way and you feel you need to talk about it, then we have the time and expertise to work with you.
Registration
Both Emma and Sharon are of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work according to their Code of Ethics. You can find their NCPS Accreditation and Directory profiles here (Emma) and here (Sharon)

Inspired Therapists

We are inspired day-to-day by other therapists, real and imagined, like Irvin D Yalom, Babette Rothschild and Dr Paul Weston (fictional; played by Gabriel Byrne) in ‘In Treatment’. Our reading matter is vast, taking from real world events and developments in mental health research. We engage in anything that gives us more knowledge about human connection, attachment, vulnerability and use these in our work. That’s why we particularly follow the works of social scientist Brene Brown and physician Dr Gabor Mate.
